That's right, y'all! L'Oca d'Oro opened in June 2016. It was the summer where we'd find out if Bernie or Hillary was going to be our next President. You all know what happened in the rest of the world. Inside our walls, it has been a time of immense reflection. Personally, we've gone from having kids tearing the place up to teens who work alongside us (and one kid who still tears the place up). Professionally, we've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to stay open during the pandemic and in a chaotic economy.
During that time, the big question around L'Oca d'Oro has been, 'what is a restaurant' or 'what should a restaurant be?' in times that call for all of us to be our best selves. So, we'd like to use the opportunity of this milestone to reflect with some friends on where we are and where we're going.
